Dashboard and reports

The Analytics section helps you see the picture of the company's work: where the money is, where the downtime is, which clients delay payment, which carriers work faster. Financial reports are built on posted accruals (bills of type bill), cash reports on the movement of money across accounts, and logistics reports on shipments, requests and transportation legs.

How to open analytics

The section opens from the left menu via the Analytics item (route /analytics).

Do not confuse it with the main screen

The main screen after logging in (/) is a quick actions page: it is convenient for creating a shipment, a request or a financial operation. It is not the analytics dashboard. The KPI dashboard with metrics lives inside the Analytics section, on the Operational → Key metrics tab (see below).

Who has access to analytics

RoleAccess to analytics
Administrator (admin), Head (boss)Full access to all tabs and reports of their own company
Manager (manager), Warehouse worker (warehouse)The Analytics section is not displayed in the menu
Client (client)The Analytics section is unavailable. The client has access only to their own data on the main screen (their requests, their unpaid bills)
Company isolation

Any employee sees only the data of their own company. Reports are automatically filtered by your company.

Structure of the section

The Analytics section consists of three main tabs, each with its own sub-tabs:

Main tabSub-tabs
LogisticsStatus efficiency · Shipment loading · Delivery times · Legs · Carriers
FinanceProfitability · Debts · Debt aging · Cash flows · Free funds
OperationalKey metrics · Income and expenses · Requests

Period and filters

In the top right corner of the section there is the period selector, shared by all tabs. The figures in all reports depend on it. Quick presets and an arbitrary range from the calendar are available:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Current month
  • Previous month
  • Last 3 months
  • Last 6 months
  • Current year
  • Previous year
  • Arbitrary range (choosing the start and the end on the calendar)

Besides the period, individual reports have their own filters:

  • Currency — in financial reports (Profitability, Cash flow, Free funds, Income and expenses): converts the amounts to the selected currency. If none is selected, the company's reference currency is used.
  • Shipment type — in logistics reports (Shipment loading, Delivery times) and in Profitability.
  • Threshold values — for example, the underload threshold in Shipment loading or the critical delay threshold in Delivery times.
Links to reports

The period, the active main tab and the comparison mode are stored in the address bar. You can copy the link and send it to a colleague — they will open the same tab and the same period. (The specific sub-tab inside a tab is not stored in the link — it has to be selected again.)

The "Logistics" tab

Status efficiency

A comparison of the actual average time requests and shipments spend in each status with the standard one (set in the status settings): the deviation in percent with a color scale — within the norm / insignificant / moderate / critical / no standard set. The "Bottlenecks" block is the top 5 statuses with the largest time losses. It helps find where the processes slow down. Filters: status, shipment type, the "Exclude current" toggle (do not take into account records that are not yet completed).

Shipment loading

How efficiently the vehicles are loaded: actual weight/volume against the nominal maximum of the shipment type. The chart highlights underload and overload on a three-color scale (in detail — Loading efficiency in the glossary). Filters: shipment type, underload threshold (60% by default), pagination.

Delivery times

Actual times against the planned ones: the share of shipments delivered on time, late, early, and also critical delays (a delay greater than the threshold). There is a breakdown by route with the median and the on-time share. Filters: shipment type, critical delay threshold (3 days by default).

The "survivorship bias" warning

If a noticeable share of shipments (more than 5%) has no planned delivery date, the report will show a warning: the timing indicators may be flattering, since such shipments do not get into the calculation.

Legs

An analysis of multimodal transportation by legs (LogisticLeg): the average duration of a leg, the average idle time at the transfer points, how many shipments have several legs, a breakdown by carrier and by leg order. It helps optimize complex routes and find bottlenecks at the transfer points. Filter — period.

Carriers

A scorecard for each carrier based on the transportation legs:

  • The number of legs and unique shipments for the period.
  • The average duration of a leg in days.
  • OTD Rate — the share of on-time deliveries (green ≥ 90%, yellow 70–90%, red below 70%).
  • Completion Rate — the share of completed legs.

Useful for negotiating tariffs with the best carriers and for decisions about replacing the worst ones. Filter — period.

The "Finance" tab

Profitability

Income, expense, profit and margin for each shipment, the average margin and the margin trend by month. At the bottom there is the Unit economics block (average profit/cost per shipment, cost/kg, cost/cbm — see the Glossary). Convenient for analyzing unprofitable transportations and the tariff policy. Filters: currency, shipment type, pagination.

The calculation for each shipment: income — from the shipment's outgoing bills (revenue), expense — from the incoming bills (costs), profit = income − expense. Amounts on bills in a non-base currency are converted to the selected currency at the rate on the bill's payment date (the "Payment date" field).

Debts

The current accounts receivable and accounts payable on unpaid bills — by the "Payment due date" (Payment date) field, split into overdue and upcoming. For each currency there is a balance: receivable (owed to us), payable (we owe) and the net position. Below there is a list by counterparty (amount, payment due date, type, status). Filters: overdue/upcoming, currency. In detail — Receivables and aging.

Debt aging

An aging report on the receivables: the distribution of unpaid bills across buckets — Current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, 90+ days — and the DSO indicator (the average collection period). Amounts are converted to the reference currency. Filter — currency. In detail — Receivables and aging.

Cash flows

A forecast of receipts and payments on open (outstanding) bills with a payment due date within the selected horizon: for each date — the inflow, the outflow and the accumulated balance (from the current cash). Summary: "Currently on accounts", "Overdue to be received" (receivables with a passed due date), "Overdue to be paid" (payables), "Net overdue". Overdue bills are shown separately and are not included in the chart. The horizon is a preset (for example, the next 30 days) or the period. Filter — currency.

Free funds

How much money is on the accounts and how much of it is actually free — a snapshot as of today, for each currency separately. For a currency the following is shown: Total assets (account balances), Obligations (payables), Accounts receivable, Free now (assets − obligations) and Including receivables (plus the expected receipts). Additionally there is the "Assets and obligations" chart and the distribution of funds across the company's accounts. Filter — currency.

The "Operational" tab

Key metrics

A general dashboard of the company's key metrics for the period, grouped into three blocks:

  • Operations (a "right now" snapshot): active shipments, active requests, active clients.
  • Profit (accrual): income, expense, profit for the period — by accruals (bills of type bill).
  • Cash flow (cash): inflow, outflow, net flow — by the actual movement of money.

Additionally there are Top counterparties (owed to us / we owe) and the Critical metrics block (overdue to us, overdue by us, delayed shipments, accounts with a low balance).

Comparison with the previous period

The "Compare with the previous period" toggle is available only on the Operational tab. When it is enabled, the change relative to the previous period of the same length appears next to the Dashboard metrics and the "Income and expenses" report. There is no such toggle on the Logistics and Finance tabs.

Income and expenses

Income and expenses broken down by article with a trend by month. The base is accruals (bill): income = "owed to us", expense = "we owe". It shows amounts and counts for each article, the total income/expense, the net profit and the margin. The percentage by article is calculated on the fly. Filter — currency.

Requests

An analysis of the distribution of requests across shipments: the share of assigned requests (assignment rate), the average number of requests per shipment, the top shipments by number of requests and the list of orphan requests (without a shipment) with their age in days. It helps not to miss unprocessed requests. Filter — period.

What is not in analytics

note

To avoid misunderstandings: in the current version of the Analytics section there is no export of reports to Excel and no print button, and the Dashboard widgets are not clickable (they do not lead to separate reports). These capabilities may appear in future versions.
