Installing the software for the electronic signature
To sign electronic consignment notes, four things have to be installed on your computer. They work as a chain, so the order matters: each one relies on the previous.
LogiFlow page → browser extension → plug-in → CryptoPro CSP → your key
If you install the extension before the plug-in, it will show a connection error: there is nothing for it to connect to yet.
Open Settings → Integrations → Kontur.Logistics → Electronic signature ("Настройки → Интеграции → Контур.Логистика → Электронная по дпись"). It shows which components are installed, which are missing, and where to download the missing ones for your system and browser.
Installation order
| No. | What we install | What for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | CryptoPro CSP (КриптоПро CSP) | GOST cryptography and access to the private key |
| 2 | CryptoPro EDS Browser plug-in (КриптоПро ЭЦП Browser plug-in) | links the browser to CryptoPro |
| 3 | The browser extension | the path from the page to the plug-in |
| 4 | The signing certificate | your key, the one the signature is made with |
The first two items are system programs. If you do not have the rights, contact your system administrator.
Step 1. CryptoPro CSP
The main program. It performs the cryptographic operations and works with the private key.
Download it from the developer's official site: CryptoPro CSP — product page. From there a link leads to the download page, where you choose the build for your system.
The file is handed over only after a simple registration — this is the developer's own requirement. Without signing in to an account, the download page will show a sign-in form.
- Windows — an
.exeinstaller. Run it and follow the wizard. - macOS — a
.dmgimage. Open it and install; the system will ask for the administrator password. - Linux — an archive with packages for your distribution (
.debor.rpm).
The developer grants a 90-day trial licence, after which the program has to be purchased. The licence is often already included in the kit issued by the certification authority together with the certificate — check this with your CA before buying separately.
After installing, restart the computer: without that, the following steps sometimes fail to see the CSP.
Step 2. CryptoPro EDS Browser plug-in
A separate program that is installed after the CSP. It connects the browser to the cryptography.
Download: CryptoPro EDS Browser plug-in. The page has a "Скачать плагин" (Download the plug-in) button; the file offered matches your system.
The plug-in is free and installs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
After installing, close all browser windows and open it again. Closing a single tab is not enough.
Step 3. The browser extension
The last link in the chain. It is installed in the browser you are going to sign from.
In Chromium-Gost and Yandex Browser for organisations the extension works as soon as the plug-in is installed — there is nothing to install or enable. If you sign from those, step 3 can be skipped and you can move on to the certificate.
Steps 1 and 2 are still mandatory: CryptoPro CSP and the plug-in are needed by any browser. Only the extension itself is skipped.
An up-to-date list of such browsers is maintained by the developer — on the CryptoPro plug-in page, in the "Рекомендуемый браузер" (Recommended browser) section.
For all other browsers the extension is installed manually:
- Google Chrome — the extension in the Chrome Web Store
- Microsoft Edge — the extension in Edge Add-ons
- Mozilla Firefox — the extension file from the CryptoPro site
It is not in the Mozilla add-ons catalogue — CryptoPro distributes the .xpi file from its own site. Firefox will ask you to confirm the installation: that is normal.
No extension exists for Safari. If you work in Safari, open LogiFlow in Chrome, Edge or Firefox — for signing only; the rest of your work is available in Safari as usual.
After installing, the extension has to be enabled (the browser may ask about this separately) and the browser restarted.
Step 4. The signing certificate
You need a qualified electronic signature certificate (QES) issued by an accredited certification authority to the legal entity on whose behalf you sign.
The certificate must be installed in the personal certificate store on this computer. It is usually installed together with the key medium right when you collect it from the certification authority.
If you need to install it yourself, the most reliable route is to contact the place where you obtained the certificate: every certification authority has its own instructions for the medium it issued. General material on the products is available in the CryptoPro knowledge base — it is open without registration.
If the key is stored on a protected medium (a token), its driver may be needed for it to work — usually it comes with the medium.
Checking
Open Settings → Integrations → Kontur.Logistics → Electronic signature ("Настройки → Интеграции → Контур.Логистика → Электронная подпись"). All four items should be marked as installed, with the program versions and the number of certificates found next to them.
If something is not marked — install what is missing using the link on that same page, restart the browser and click "Проверить снова" (Check again).
If you want to make sure the problem is not in LogiFlow, CryptoPro has its own signature test page. It sees the same components — the extension, the plug-in, the cryptographic provider — shows your certificates and lets you produce a test signature.
The signature there has no effect on anything: the page does not send anything anywhere and does not create any documents.
Read the result like this:
- the signature works on that page but not in LogiFlow — the workstation is fine, and the thing to look into is the settings of the note or of the signatory; contact your administrator;
- it does not work there either — the problem is in the programs themselves or in the certificate; carry on with the instructions above or contact CryptoPro support.
If it does not work after installation
The page still does not see the components. Almost always this means the browser has not been restarted. Close all of its windows and open it again.
The extension is installed, but the plug-in is "not found". Check the order: first CryptoPro CSP, then the plug-in, and only then the extension. If you installed them in a different order, reinstall the plug-in.
Everything is installed, but no certificates are found. Check three things: the certificate is in the personal store, its validity period has not expired, and the key medium is plugged in.
You do not have the rights to install. Contact your system administrator: CryptoPro CSP and the plug-in are installed with computer administrator rights.
Where to turn
- Questions about the programs themselves and the licence — CryptoPro support.
- Questions about the certificate and its installation — the certification authority that issued it.
- Questions about working with consignment notes in LogiFlow — your administrator.
